FRIENDS OF THE SFV-JTF
2020 FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
A large part of our ability to serve you and the community is through the generosity of our supporters, that's you! Asour main mission to assist our direct communities and its organizations, we provide standby EMS services for events, host first aid/CPR/AED/disaster preparedness training, and provide emergency/disaster response plan development for local organizations. Some organizations that we have worked with to provide these services are Shepherd Church, McCormick Ambulance, the Nautica Foundation and the Southern California Preparedness Foundation.

The San Fernando Valley, in the event of a natural or man-made disaster, also partners with agencies across Los Angeles to provide supplemental emergency response, which includes field EMS, traffic control assistance, and emergency evacuations. Some agencies we have partnered with are the Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles Fire Department, the California Highway Patrol, and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation. All the services we provide are free to the community.

Typically, the way we have funded our operations is through personal, out-of-pocket contributions from our own members. As much as we enjoy the opportunities to provide these services to the community, we regretfully recognize that it is not a sustainable method for the organization or for our members. However, we truly hope that finances will never be the reason that we must cancel or turn down any opportunity to serve and help our communities. This year, our goal is to fundraise $75,000! It indeed is a very high number, but we are hopeful that through the collective support of individual donors, we will be able to continue providing our services to our communities. Big or small, your contributions help make our goals a reality.

What Will My Donation Go Towards?

That's a great question! All funds raised through this campaign will go towards funding the many missions of the SFV-JTF. This includes, but is not limited to:
