Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the SFV-JTF. Certain positions in the SFV-JTF require special certifications or licenses and will be indicated on the position. All candidates must meet the following criteria prior to submitting an application:

• Be or over the age of 18.

• Possess a valid California Class C Driver's License.

• May not have any medical conditions that would prevent the work of a first responder.

• May not have a history of immoral and/or unethical behavior.

• Possess an AHA Basic Life Support Provider Certificate.

All currently open positions are listed below along with their specific certification/license requirements.

RESCUER / EMT (EMS Unit)

Rescuer/EMTs provide Basic Life Support and general support to the events the SFV-JTF services. All rescuer/EMT candidates must meet the basic criteria indicated above and must also:

• Possess a valid and current EMT-B license that is verified within Los Angeles County.

​

UAS PILOT (DSS Unit)

UAS Pilots provide aerial surveillance and support to the events the SFV-JTF services. All UAS Pilot candidates must meet the basic criteria indicated above and must also:

• Possess a valid and current FAA Remote Pilot license.

• Possess 100+ Hours of Remote Flight Time.
